Daytona Beach – Oceanfront Park
Oceanfront Park was really the original name of the project that brought us the The Daytona Beach Bandhsell and the Daytona Beach Clock Tower, both of which were dedicated in 1938.
Most of the area is now know as “The Boardwalk” or “Ocean Walk Shoppes at Hilton Village” or “Ocean Walk” but it all started out as a park for the public to enjoy the beach. It runs along the ocean and is very rarely referred to as the “Oceanfront Park” , except for the small sign erected at the playground. Many updates have occurred in recent years and here are a few::
There is a playground for kids.
A lighted volleyball court that is used for games all summer long and during spring break.
The parkground is situated behind the Hilton and next to the Clock Tower
Also for kids, a picture “opportunity”
And the bungee jump that is lit up all night long….. this is right along side the arcade and a short walk from the pier.
